Will there be a test ready soon for athletes who use HGH illegally?

It is expected that there will be a valid test ready in time for the Athens Olympics. Not many details are being released about the test for a good reason: If the athletes find out how the test works, they can find ways to circumvent it. So you can see why much of the detail is kept quiet.
